Transformative experiences guided by therapists

Truffle therapy has become a legal and powerful way to experience personal growth, trauma processing and spiritual deepening in the Netherlands. This form of therapy uses magic truffles which the active ingredient psilocybin contain - the same substance found in magic mushrooms, but legally and safely applicable. At Triptherapy, this form of psychedelic therapy is offered holistically, with a lot of attention to preparation, guidance and integration.

Why choose truffle therapy?

Magic truffles help to release deep-seated blockages, work through unprocessed trauma or simply gain greater self-insight. The effects of psilocybin open the door to a dreamy, introspective state of consciousness in which old patterns, fears and emotions can emerge - and most importantly, be transformed.

Truffle therapy is particularly used for depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, addictions, bereavement, but also for personal and spiritual development. These sessions are legal as long as they are not presented as medical treatment, and thus fall into the realm of therapy, coaching and personal transformation.

What people experience

Experiences and impact: what clients really experience during and after truffle therapy

Truffle therapy is, for many, one of the most impressive and transformative experiences in their lives. Although the effects vary from person to person, certain themes and insights often return. The combination of psilocybin and professional guidance allows deep-seated patterns, unprocessed emotions or stalled thought structures to safely surface - and actually be lived through and released.

During the session: an inner journey full of insight, letting go and connection

Many participants describe the session as a deep inner journey in which they encounter themselves in a way that is hardly possible without psychedelics. Experiences range from intense emotions to deep tranquility, from visual hallucinations to the feeling of being one with the universe. Often the ego is temporarily pushed aside, leaving people feeling free of social roles, shame or limiting beliefs.

One client with long-term PTSD said she got in touch with repressed grief during the session, and this emotional breakthrough felt like "a release that years of therapy had not brought." Someone else who struggled with depressive feelings described it as "a warm wave of self-love and acceptance that I have never felt before."

The use of magic truffles combined with breath work, music and a loving setting creates a space where transformation on a soul level is possible.

After the session: integration and sustainable change

The real work often begins after the session: the phase in which the insights gained are integrated into daily life. Many clients experience that they are better in touch with their feelings, can make clear choices or let go of old habits. Some people spontaneously stop smoking or drinking excessively, others regain their zest for life, redefine their careers or establish (or restore) meaningful relationships.

A recurring theme is increased self-awareness: clients recognize destructive patterns more quickly and respond with more compassion toward themselves and others. The feeling of "enlightenment" is meant not only spiritually, but also mentally and emotionally: as if a burden has been dropped from the shoulders.

One participant in a group ceremony wrote, "I went in with fear and doubts, and came out with a renewed sense of hope, direction and love for myself." Another described it as "the most valuable investment in myself ever."

Long-term effects and follow-up pathways

Although the intensity of the effect varies from person to person, the long-term effects are often surprisingly stable. Most clients feel clearer, more energetic and lighter weeks to months after the session. Those who wish can deepen the integration process through aftercare, coaching or follow-up therapy - with some clients also opting for a second session or a follow-up step such as microdosing or a duo session with a partner.

Truffle therapy acts as a catalyst: it sets processes in motion, opens closed doors and invites change. What you do with those insights afterwards is up to you - but you are never alone with Trip Therapy.

Choose your own therapist

At Trip Therapy, we believe that the bond between client and counselor plays a crucial role in the success of a psychedelic session. That's why with us you get the unique opportunity to choose who accompanies you. Each counselor on our team has their own background, energy and area of expertise, so you can find someone who truly matches your needs, personality and goals. Below we would like to introduce the therapists to you in more detail:

Ronald creates a safe bed in which parts of the psyche are allowed to be expressed - including those parts that are often repressed.

Sascha - Clinical psychologist with a solid mental health background

Sascha combines her academic background in clinical psychology with experience in the addiction care, specialist mental health care and rehabilitation psychology. She is also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, which makes her an excellent choice for people with trauma, anxiety issues or stubborn beliefs that may be broken. She enjoys working with people who long for more control over their lives and want to heal the effects of their past.

Reineke integrates mainstream psychology of alternative healing methods such as yoga, breathing exercises, body work and EMDR. With more than 20 years of experience in outpatient mental health services, Gijs brings with him an impressive palette of knowledge and composure. He is trained in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)., neurofeedback, meditation and compassion training. Joan - Lifestyle coach, confidant and female anchor

Janneke is the first point of contact for many clients at Trip Therapy. She is lifestyle coach in training to become an Applied Psychologist and helps clients improve their health through nutrition, exercise and supplements. As confidant she offers emotional support before, during or after sessions. She has limited availability for session supervision, but her warm presence and practical approach make her a fine guide for those seeking gentleness and stability.

Individually or in a group?

The experience of truffle therapy is always personal and unique, which is why it is important that the form of the session suits your situation, preferences and goals. At Trip Therapy, you can choose from several different forms of counseling - each with its own character, dynamics and benefits. In this way, together we create the optimal 'set and setting', which is essential for a safe, profound and healing psychedelic experience.

1. Private session at home - personal, familiar and completely tailored to you

An individual session at home offers the highest level of personal attention and customization. The facilitator comes to your home or a location of your choice (such as a hotel or vacation home) throughout the Netherlands. This means that you can experience the session in an environment that feels familiar and safe to you, which contributes to relaxation and surrender during the trip.

This format is ideal for people who prefer to work quietly and without distraction on deep themes such as trauma, grief, depression or meaning. You will receive your therapist's full attention and full space to allow your process to unfold at your pace. You will receive extensive preparation tips in advance, including nutritional advice, intention work and lifestyle adjustments.

2. Duo session - traveling together with a partner, friend or family member

In a duo session, you experience the psychedelic journey together with someone you know well and trust. This can be a special and connecting experience, for example for couples, friends or family members who want to grow, heal together or just share something special. The session is guided by one or two therapists, depending on intensity and personal preference.

Duo sessions are also popular with couples who want to work on themes within their relationship. The shared experience can lead to more openness, empathy and deep communication - and provides a beautiful foundation for relational transformation.

3. Group Ceremony in the Psychedelic Loft - a safe, carried journey with others

Instead, for those who are drawn to the power of traveling together, there is the opportunity to participate in a truffle ceremony in our atmospheric Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam. This beautiful space is specially designed for group sessions and offers a warm, calming and safe setting. Both open groups (up to 5 participants) and private groups take place here.

In a group ceremony, you experience how the healing process is enhanced by the presence of others. Although everyone is on his or her own journey, there is often a deep sense of connection and recognition. Ceremonies can be thematic (such as women's circles or seasonal rituals) and are always professionally guided by one or more experienced therapists.
